Description
Wooden counting sticks according to the Kuisener method are a universal didactic material for the development of mathematical abilities in children. They are called differently - a set of sticks for numbers, numbers in color, colored sticks, colored numbers.
The set consists of 56 wooden sticks of 10 different colors with a section of 10x10 mm, which differ in length and color. Sticks of the same length are made in one color. The longer the stick, the greater the numerical value it expresses. The smallest stick ("one") 10 mm long represents the number 1, each subsequent one is 10 mm longer and represents the next ordinal number: pink - number 2 (20 mm), blue - number 3 (30 mm), etc.
Each set contains 10 double-sided colored cards with tasks of three levels of difficulty. The size of the cards is 10x10 cm.
Using the example of counting sticks, the child quickly, visually and in the process of playing gets an understanding of basic mathematical patterns:
number and its composition,
natural series of numbers,
direct and inverse number,
values and concepts: more, less, equal, higher, lower, longer, shorter,
orientation on the plane: right, left,
addition, subtraction on sticks,
division of the whole into parts.
Sticks are designed for playing and learning with children aged 3-8 at home and in schools.
Materials: wood, certified water-based paints and varnishes, cardboard.
